Fresh perspective and the out of box thinking to add value to an existing concept or product, bringing significant change in society is what innovation entails. Innovation requires fine balance of creative and critical thinking. So, to prepare our future generations to face and withstand the eventualities of the future, it becomes important that we prepare them to think creatively and critically to prompt them for productive innovations to may make the lives of the people easier. Innovations may also promoteamong the students the spirit of entrepreneurship which leads to financial independence of the individual and economic development of the society. With the aim of inculcating innovative and entrepreneurial skills in the students— our future custodians.

To motivate the students for ideation, original thoughts and conceptualisation, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mihir Bhoj P.G. College, Dadri has been entrusted with the responsibility to run Institutional Innovation Club (IIC) with active participation of the students and faculty volunteers. Accordingly, the Club was notified on May 02, 2022. The club shall be a faculty-led but student-centric body wherein active engagement of faculty members, students and experts from various fields shall be ensured to promote an atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus. The club shall play an instrumental role in inspiring and nurturing young minds to think creatively and critically by exposing them to new ideas.

Objectives :
To motivate the students to develop and appreciate original thinking;
To create an atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus;
To educate the students and make them aware about Government of India’s various initiatives and programmes related to innovation and entrepreneurship;
To promote round the year activities underlining the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus;
To inculcate innovative and entrepreneurial skills and mindset among the students and to encourage them to take start-ups as an alternative career option;
To promote healthy competitions among students to build a strong and vibrant innovation and start-up ecosystem in the campus;
To organize workshops/ seminars/ idea competition/ mini-challenges etc. in collaboration with academia, entrepreneurs, industry experts, etc;
To create a mentor pool for student innovators with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, industries etc;
To network with peers and locals as well as national entrepreneurship development organizations, incubation centers, innovation centers, labs, industry, etc;
To develop among the students the sense of responsibility towards society;
To develop leadership qualities among the students by giving them opportunities to organise various initiatives of the Club.

Events Orgnised :

To begin with, IIC had its first meeting on May 20, 2022 with all the members to select the office-bearers from amongst the students to plan, propose and execute various activities of the Club.
